No doubt Miroku/Browning would say NO to steel but many people are using similiar guns for steel without problem. That seems to work ok provided the load is kept light (your 24g) of small shot, and chokes are not much tighter than half.The Prussian Daly model 375 guns are very ornate but the model 500 guns (i.e., the "regent diamond quality" model) are REALLY ornate.
