That’s not been my experience., FSUIPC.dll was the de facto standard for sophisticated addon aircraft and third party tools to interact with flight simulator, and also allowed for additional configuration of controller. It was supplanted somewhat in FSX by Simconnect.dll but there's still a lot of products that use FS UIPC to do what they do.
