For my model truck (2018/2500) the DEF system, which includes tank, sensors, valves, pump, doser, control module and heater is covered for 5 years or 50,000 miles. The dealership I had my truck towed to Monday suggested that the entire DEF tank needed to be replaced, not just the harness as my dealership had suggested.

The perform service light reset for a couple of days and it continues to come on intermittently. Called dealership and the service department said that when you change the CCV filter it also requires to remove and clean the EGR cooler at a cost of about $900.00.
