Hi, I recently got a Iver Johnson & Cycle Works .38 from my father-in-law. The serial number 2309 is stamped under grip, trigger guard, and under the cylinder next to the barrel. It has a coil spring as well as wood grips. Besides the serial # and manuf. Stamping on rib there is NO other writing.
