JTB Discussion starter. 9 posts · Joined 2016. #1 · Jun 4, 2022. I picked up a 336 that someone drilled the bullseye out for a sling stud. I'd like to put the bullseye back, but Numrich and Midway seem to be out. Any one know any other vendors or someone that has one for sale?

OD of bullseye cylinder was slightly larger that the hole in the stock. Also the hold in the stock stepped down to a smaller diameter with another smaller hole in it. When fully insert the step does not allow me to fully install the cyliner. If yours is a pre '77 (or pre '83 for that matter) Model 25, it should be a Glenfield 25. Marlin discontinued the Glenfield line in '83 but continued to produce most models as Marlins. If yours is a Marlin 25N, it is newer. The older 25s will require some modification to fit the aftermarket stocks.

The bullseye is a trademark. I wouldn't mess with it. Some will tell you that to drill a marlin stock for a sling swivel is butchery. Unless its a collector grade gun, that is an overreaction.
