If you can get A's and B's in AP classes you certainly have the intellectual capacity, if that's what you're asking. Naturally, the role of intelligence in being a successful student is usually overstated. You're going to have to work hard, but if you enjoy it, it won't suck.I'd say it's very common to struggle with a social life in Engineering. Your best bet is either try to complete homework assignments well in advance, on live somewhere that you can have roommates that you're already friends with. You can be like that and have zero social life and graduate after 4 years with a 1st.Second, engineering men are generally not great at dating or even socializing in general. I’ve also found that engineering women are already dating, far too proud that they are in a STEM field, or simply not interested in me/dating. Some men are intimidated by women who have higher earning potential. Short answer is yes engineering in general is math intensive. If you chose to go the engineering route, you will have 6 or 8 math classes minimum, from calc 1 through differential equations with some linear algebra thrown in as well as statistics. Coops are easier to get than internships. For example, a friend of mine worked for tesla for a co-op semester.
